Poland has a new president. Nawrocki is sworn in, replacing Duda after ten years

Source: iDnes.cz (CZ) – Conservative and historian Karol Nawrocki was sworn in as Poland's new president at a joint session of both houses of parliament on Wednesday morning. He will replace Andrzej Duda, who held the post for ten years. In his first speech as head of state, Nawrocki said he would be the voice of the people who want a sovereign Poland and rejected adopting the euro.
"I will be the voice of those who want a
sovereign Poland that is in the European Union, but is not the European Union.
It is Poland and will remain Poland," Nawrocki declared. In his speech, he
assured that he would support relations within the EU27, but spoke out against
the EU taking away competences from his country.
