“Central Europe is already going its own way.” The St. Adalbert Conference will welcome several ministers

Source: Parlamentní listy.cz (CZ) – Tomáš Kulman, chairman of the Patrimonium Sancti Adalberti association, talks to ParlamentnímiListy.cz about the St. Adalbert Conference. The event, which is intended to build relations in Central Europe, is being held for the fourth time and several ministers are planning to visit it this year.
The global political situation in recent months has offered observers
experiences comparable only to a roller coaster ride. We are talking about
turbulent times. Perhaps it would be worth saying what this term means. It is
neither a coincidence nor chaos. It means a targeted transition from a unipolar
model of world governance to a multipolar one. The most important institutions
in our environment, such as the EU or NATO, were instruments of this old world
governance. Now that world governance is changing, these institutions must
logically also undergo a certain transformation, which is both a threat and an
opportunity for us. Our task is to be able to quickly and thoughtfully navigate
this situation and make the most of it for our nations. While last year it
seemed to us that the countries of Central Europe were at a crossroads, now
that two Europes - Western and Central-Southeastern - have become the reality
of today, we say that "Central Europe is already going its own way",
which is also the title of this year's conference.
