Cardinal Dominik Duka has died

Source: Patrimonium Sancti Adalberti (CZ) – It was with deep sadness that we learned of the death on November 4 of His Eminence Dominik Cardinal Duka, Archbishop Emeritus of Prague and Primate of Czechia, on November 4, 2025.

Cardinal Duka was an extraordinary figure, both spiritually and publicly, not only in Czechia but literally throughout Europe. He was a man who was not afraid to express his views publicly and who demonstrated personal courage on many occasions.

He said that Central Europe is our home. It was a great honor for us that for four years he was the patron of our international St. Adalbert conferences, which deal precisely with closer cooperation between countries in the wider Central European region. For this, we owe him our deepest gratitude!
