Dimos THANASOULAS:
THE WEST AS WE KNOW IT BELONGS
TO THE PAST, EUROPE IS THE FUTURE
In Greek mythology, Europe was a lady. She was kidnapped by God Zeus, who was transfigured as a bull, and he took her on a honeymoon trip. It seems our lady nowadays is drunk. She is drunk by the woke wine of globalisation. Now, for us, the few sober who are in this room, we have the big task to figure out how we will make it for the next day, because it is very important for Europe to survive.
This is reckless, but it is precise: it is not the West who is civilised, it is Europe. Europe has decided to surrender herself to the barbarians, but we must save her dignity. So the burden has to be dealt with through several ideas. I was very happy to be invited here, because I really look forward to hear the ideas and your thoughts. Already in this panel, I have heard several interesting things about what we can do, because we can see now that what we were thinking as the globalist Europe has not only failed, but I think that it is committing suicide. So we have to think, and we have to take under consideration how our countries, first of all, will survive the next day.
First of all, we have to be aware, because in Greece we say that the bite of a dying snake is the most lethal one. So if the European Commission is dying, we have to be very careful, because the last orders, the last actions of the European Commission, may be the most lethal for our countries. And we see it every day. In Greece, we are facing the imposition of an obligatory personal identification number which, combined with the electronic IDs, will lead us to an Orwellian, dystopian future. We will not be able to do anything, as our prime minister says, unless we have those obligatory electronic IDs. This is something that we must resist, because otherwise we are heading fast-forward towards the Chinese Social Credit system. I think more or less Agenda 2030 is dictating the same things to your countries, unless you make it and break free from this prison.
I think that, first of all, we must admit that the European Union was not something bad from the beginning. It has turned a wrong point. It has gone in a wrong direction, but up to that point it was going well. So we must work and find out where things went wrong, and then we must go back there.
First of all, we must keep on trying to secure tolerance, to secure coexistence, because this is vital for the next day. We must respect, and we demand respect, mutually as sovereign nations. And – this is crucial – we must all agree that our borders are sacred. They are sacred because they are drawn with the blood of our fathers.
This is a decision we must take. And if we take this decision, and if we honour this decision, then all things will be much easier. It will be very easy to cope with the minorities in our countries. It will be very easy to cope with the other countries. I am very happy to see here our Serbian friends and Croatian friends sitting next to each other, because in this new Europe we are envisioning we will never forget, but we will always forgive. This is the way to coexist and go ahead.
We must face some very important things. It seems that the European economy is going very bad. It seems that the European economy has stopped producing. Our farmers are under pressure. They no longer have the means to produce, to cultivate. It is vital to do something in order to have food self-efficiency. I know it must sound catastrophic, but in Greece we see that if something bad happens, like a war or anything else that stops the transferring of goods, we will soon face a famine. And I think that more or less the same happens all over Europe. So it is very important to work on this.
I know that geography dictates borders, that is true, and that this is a very helpful situation in our case. But of course, it cannot contain ideas. So this is also something that we must work very much. We must do whatever we can to support our traditional, classic civilisation, because wokism can be spread throughout our schools via the internet. So we have to give them alternatives. We have to go back to the classics, to the classics from all over the European civilisation. And in this way, we will give to our children an immunity help in order to be able to face against this woke propaganda.
We have also a huge advantage—Christianity. Christianity is what turned us into something complete, because it helped us fight with our own mistakes. It made us better people. And since it made us better people, more humble, more efficient, more helpful, more loving to each other, this is the way that we can do it in Europe. I think it is not a coincidence that Christianity is under attack right now in Europe, because those who want Europe destroyed know that the great weapon we as Europeans have is Christianism, so we must really work on that. We must defend Christianity.
Also, we have seen that the European Union is unable to solve any problem. So we must make the European citizens understand that the European Union is not what they always thought. It is like a wealthy lady who hands out money, allowing people to live carelessly and simply take money from the European Union. We must learn to live without the EU money. And our people must learn – we, the European people, must learn – how to live, how to solve problems on our own. Because, as it was said, we do not have to rest our hopes on the Americans or any other saviours. We have to deal with our problems. So we must start solving problems, and we must cooperate and share ideas about how we will solve them. The European Union will not tackle these problems for us now.
And of course, last but not least, we really must get to know each other. I cannot praise enough such an event. We must do this. You must come to Greece. You must go to Romania and pay homage to this new Orthodox temple. I envy you. We must meet, and we must solve those problems I mentioned before.
West, as we know it, is the past. However, Europe is the future. It is on us. God help us. Thank you.
