Source: Deník Štandard (SK) - The Prime Ministers of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and Serbia signed a joint declaration on Thursday saying that immigration should not be the answer to the declining birth rate in the EU Member States. They did so during a two-day forum in Budapest where they gathered to discuss demography and family values. The Slovak Prime Minister did not attend the forum, only the Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Family Milan Krajniak (Sme rodina) was present. At the same time, the leaders of these countries called on Brussels to keep family policy under the jurisdiction of EU Member States.
